The sales profession hasn’t changed much since the beginning of time really. An offer is made, an offer is accepted, and a deal is done. Now I’m no expert in the field of sales, but I’ve learned a few things along the way. One of those lessons learned is that if there is a meeting of the minds between just two individuals, a sale is made.
This doesn’t mean that one get’s over on the other. It must be a win-win situation between the parties involved. Then and only then should you truly feel good about it and be able to sleep comfortably at night.
I learned years ago from one of the world’s greatest salesman in my opinion (because he has created even more highly successful salesman), Tom Hopkins.
He personally taught me, “Price is only an issue in the absence of value.”
Isn’t that true? You don’t mind paying a little extra for an item or service knowing that the quality of that product or service is worth the premium. Here’s a real life example that I have experienced. My son who is now 6.5 years old, when he was still crawling, I noticed that the knees would get worn out faster on the pants I bought him from Walmart versus the pants I bought him from the Baby Gap. The quality was just better and we learned that first hand.
Only the very best salesman and women ever reach the highest levels in sales. I’m not only talking about the especially high ticket items. I’m talking about those who go on to earn 7 figures in a year whether it’s from a low or high priced product or service. When you’re able to make it to that level of success. I think you have become one of the worlds best salesman.
What is it that separates the very best from the very worst? There are a ton of things to list for that disparity.
Goals that are written and looked at daily
Becoming an expert in your field
Organizational/Scheduling skills
Mastering the closing process at each phase
Personal development
Follow up
All of the above contribute to the success of the super successful, of which those that are not, aren’t willing to do.
Listen, instead of becoming a “Link-a-holic” (plastering your links from here to infinity) Take the time to learn your craft and your conversions will start to slide up the scale and the better you get, the better your income reflects your improved self. Too many of us come into the industry of internet marketing or work from home niches and don’t realize that what we’re actually involved in is sales. Until you accept that, you will most likely continue to struggle to get out of the starting blocks.
One of the easiest ways I’ve found to get to the next level is to find a mentor, or partner up with someone who is where you want to be. Buy that person lunch if they’re in you’re area and you can pick their brains for at least an hour. It will be the best $10-$15 dollars you’ll ever spend. The sooner you decide to reach out to someone more successful than you, the faster you will turn the corner and see success for yourself. The reason I know this to be true, is because I did this myself.
There’s an old saying, “I know more than you, pay me!”
Those aren’t my words, but they’re so true. I hope you take these suggestions and decide to win sooner rather than later.

Consistency in this business and in this life is the essence of success. Randy Gage, a master at what he does talks about how above everything else, he’s consistent! The challenge is that most everyone can be consistent for a week to two weeks maybe a month but then they fall back into the habits of old.
You see, I realize we’re a microwave society, we want everything yesterday, we want it now. But we mustn’t lose sight of the activities that got us the place we find ourselves today. Continue to repeat those good habits you’ve developed. Hear what Randy has to say about the subject in his own words.
